حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثنا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ الْمِنْهَالِ وحَفْصُ بْنُ عُمَرَ الْحَوْضِيُّ قَالَا ثنا عُمَرُ بْنُ أَبِي زَائِدَةَ أَنَا عَوْنُ بْنُ أَبِي جُحَيْفَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ

أَنَّهُ رَأَى النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فِي قُبَّةٍ حَمْرَاءَ مِنْ أُدُمٍ قَالَ فَرَأَيْتُ بِلَالًا أَخْرَجَ وَضُوءَهُ فَرَأَيْتُ النَّاسَ يَبْتَدِرُونَ ذَلِكَ الْوَضُوءَ فَمَنْ أَصَابَ مِنْهُ شَيْئًا تَمَسَّحَ بِهِ وَمَنْ لَمْ يُصِبْ مِنْهُ شَيْئًا أَخَذَ مِنْ بَلَلِ يَدِ صَاحِبِهِ ثُمَّ رَأَيْتُ بِلَالًا أَخْرَجَ عَنَزَةً فَرَكَزَهَا وَخَرَجَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فِي حُلَّةٍ حَمْرَاءَ مُشَمِّرًا فَصَلَّى إِلَى الْعَنَزَةِ بِالنَّاسِ رَكْعَتَيْنِ وَرَأَيْتُ النَّاسَ وَالدَّوَابَّ يَمُرُّونَ بَيْنَ يَدَيِ الْعَنَزَةِ

Translation

✧ He saw the Prophet ﷺ in a red leather tent. He said: "I saw Bilāl bring out his ablution water, and I saw the people rushing to that water. Whoever got some of it wiped himself with it, and whoever did not get any of it took from the moisture on his companion's hand. Then I saw Bilāl bring out a short spear and plant it in the ground. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came out wearing a red ḥulla with his garments raised, and he prayed two rakʿahs with the people facing the spear. I saw people and animals passing in front of the spear."
