حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ زُهَيْرٍ التُّسْتَرِيُّ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي بُكَيْرٍ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي بُكَيْرٍ ثنا عَبْدُ الْغَفَّارِ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ عَنْ عَوْنِ بْنِ أَبِي جُحَيْفَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ

خَرَجَ بِلَالٌ بِالْهَاجِرَةِ فَأَذَّنَ ثُمَّ دَخَلَ فَخَرَجَ بِتَوْرٍ فِيهِ فَضْلُ وَضُوءِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ مُمْسَكَةٌ بِيَدِهِ لَوْ وَضَعَهُ بِالْأَرْضِ كَسَرَهُ النَّاسُ فَجَعَلُوا يَتَنَاوَلُونَ فَمُصِيبٌ مِنْهُ ومُتَنَضِّحٌ عَلَيْهِ بِالْمَاءِ فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ

✧ Bilāl went out at noon and called the adhān. Then he entered and came out with a small vessel containing the leftover water from the ablution of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, holding it in his hand. Had he placed it on the ground, people would have broken it. They began taking some of it—one getting some of it and another sprinkling water from it onto himself—then he mentioned the rest of the ḥadīth.
