حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثنا أَبُو حُذَيْفَةَ ثنا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ كُلَيْبٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ وَائِلِ بْنِ حُجْرٍ قَالَ
بَعَثَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ رَجُلًا عَلَى الصَّدَقَةِ فَجَاءَ بِفَصِيلٍ مَخْلُولٍ سَيِّءِ الْحَالِ مَهْزُولٍ فَقَالَ هَذَا مِنْ صَدَقَةِ فُلَانِ ابْنِ فُلَانٍ الْفُلَانِيِّ فَصَعِدَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ الْمِنْبَرَ فَحَمِدَ اللهَ وَأَثْنَى عَلَيْهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ «إِنِّي بَعَثْتُ رَسُولِي عَلَى الصَّدَقَةِ فَجَاءَ إِلَى فُلَانِ الرَّجُلِ دُعَاءُ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَجَاءَ بِنَاقَةٍ كَوْمَاءَ يِتَلِّهَا حَتَّى انْتَهَى ابْنَ فُلَانٍ الْفُلَانِيِّ فَجَاءَ بِهَذَا الْفَصِيلِ الْمَحْلُولِ لَا بَارَكَ اللهُ فِي إِبِلِهِ» فَبَلَغَ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ بِهَا فَتَلَّهَا إِلَيْهِ فَصَعِدَ الْمِنْبَرَ فَحَمِدَ اللهَ وَأَثْنَى عَلَيْهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ «إِنَّ فُلَانَ ابْنَ فُلَانٍ الْفُلَانِيَّ بَلَغَهُ دُعَاءُ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَجَاءَ بِهَذِهِ النَّاقَةِ الْكَوْمَاءِ بَارَكَ اللهُ فِيهِ وَفِي إِبِلِهِ»

✧ The Prophet ﷺ sent a man to collect zakah. He came with a mangy, emaciated young camel in poor condition and said, “This is from the zakah of So-and-so son of So-and-so the Such-and-such.” The Prophet ﷺ ascended the pulpit, praised and extolled Allah, then said, “I sent my envoy to collect zakah, and he came to the man — the Prophet’s supplication ﷺ — and he brought a humped she-camel, leading it until he reached the son of So-and-so the Such-and-such, and he brought this mangy young camel. May Allah not bless his camels.” News of it reached the Prophet ﷺ, and he led it to him. Then he ascended the pulpit, praised and extolled Allah, then said, “So-and-so son of So-and-so the Such-and-such heard of the Prophet’s supplication ﷺ and came with this humped she-camel. May Allah bless him and his camels.”
