حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو يَزِيدَ الْقَرَاطِيسِيُّ ثَنَا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْأَزْرَقُ ثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ عَنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ قَالَ
كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا ذَهَبَ الْمَذْهَبَ أَبْعَدَ فَذَهَبَ لِحَاجَةٍ وَهُوَ فِي بَعْضِ أَسْفَارِهِ فَقَالَ «ائْتِنِي بِوَضُوءٍ» فَجِئْتُهُ بِوَضُوءٍ فَأَخْرَجَ يَدَيْهِ مِنْ تَحْتِ الْجُبَّةِ فَتَوَضَّأَ وَمَسَحَ عَلَى الْخُفَّيْنِ

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ, when he went to relieve himself, would go far. He went to answer the call of nature during one of his journeys and said, “Bring me water for ablution.” I brought him water, and he brought his hands out from beneath the jubba, performed ablution, and wiped over his leather socks.
