حَدَّثَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْبَزَّازُ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ ثَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ حَبِيبٍ ثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ وَقَيْسٌ وَشَيْبَانُ عَنْ زِيَادِ بْنِ عِلَاقَةَ عَنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ قَالَ
لَمَّا مَاتَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ ابْنُ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ انْكَسَفَتِ الشَّمْسُ فَقَالَ النَّاسُ انْكَسَفَتْ لِمَوْتِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ فَخَرَجَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ «يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ إِنَّ الشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ لَا يَنْكَسِفَانِ لِمَوْتِ أَحَدٍ وَلَا لِحَيَاتِهِ وَلَكِنَّهُمَا آيَتَانِ مِنْ آيَاتِ اللهِ فَإِذَا كَانَ ذَلِكَ فَصَلُّوا حَتَّى تَنْكَشِفَ»

✧ When Ibrahim, the son of the Prophet ﷺ, died, the sun eclipsed. The people said, "It eclipsed because of Ibrahim's death." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came out and said, "O people, the sun and the moon do not eclipse for the death or life of anyone, but they are two signs among the signs of Allah. So when that happens, pray until it clears."
