حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ غَنَّامٍ ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثنا شُجَاعُ بْنُ مَخْلَدٍ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ سَيَّارٍ الْوَاسِطِيُّ ثنا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَوْنٍ قَالُوا ثنا هُشَيْمٌ أَنَا حُصَيْنٌ عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ أَبِي الْجَعْدِ وَأَبِي سُفْيَانَ أَنَّهُمَا سَمِعَا الْمُغِيرَةَ بْنَ شُعْبَةَ يُحَدِّثُ قَالَ
«كُنْتُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَتَبَرَّزَ لِحَاجَتِهِ فَلَمَّا فَرَغَ أَتَيْتُهُ بِإِدَاوَةٍ فِيهَا مَاءٌ فَصَبَبْتُ عَلَيْهِ فَتَوَضَّأَ وَكَانَتْ عَلَيْهِ جُبَّةٌ ضَيِّقَةٌ الْكُمَّيْنِ فَأَخْرَجَ يَدَهُ مِنْ تَحْتِ الْجُبَّةِ فَغَسَلَ ذِرَاعَيْهِ وَمَسَحَ عَلَى خُفَّيْهِ»

✧ I was with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ when he went aside to relieve himself. When he finished, I brought him a water skin containing water and poured it for him. He performed ablution, and he had on a jubba with narrow sleeves, so he brought his hand out from under the jubba and washed his forearms and wiped over his leather socks.
