حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْجُذُوعِيُّ الْقَاضِي ثنا أَبُو كَامِلٍ الْجَحْدَرِيُّ ثنا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ وَرَّادٍ كَاتَبِ الْمُغِيرَةِ أَنَّ مُعَاوِيَةَ كَتَبَ إِلَى الْمُغِيرَةِ
أَنِ أَكْتُبْ إِلَيَّ بِشَيْءٍ سَمِعْتَهُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَكَتَبَ إِلَيْهِ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ «نَهَى عَنْ قِيلَ وَقَالَ وَكَثْرَةِ السُّؤَالِ وَإِضَاعَةِ الْمَالِ وَعَنْ عُقُوقِ الْأُمَّهَاتِ وَوَأْدِ الْبَنَاتِ وَمَنَعَ وَهَاتِ»

✧ That he should write to him something he had heard from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. So he wrote to him that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ “forbade from ‘it was said and he said,’ excessive asking, wasting wealth, disobedience to mothers, burying daughters alive, and ‘withhold and give.’”
