حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدَّبَرِيُّ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنِ ابْنِ عُيَيْنَةَ ثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ حَدَّثَنِي حَمْزَةُ بْنُ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ
كُنْتُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فِي سَفَرٍ فَقَالَ «تَخَلَّفْ يَا مُغِيرَةُ وَامْضُوا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ» قَالَ ثُمَّ ذَهَبَ فَقَضَى حَاجَتَهُ وَأَتَيْتُهُ بِإِدَاوَةٍ مِنْ مَاءٍ فَلَمَّا فَرَغَ سَكَبْتُ عَلَيْهِ مِنْهَا فَغَسَلَ وَجْهَهُ ثُمَّ ذَهَبَ يُخْرِجُ يَدَيْهِ مِنْ جُبَّةٍ عَلَيْهِ رُومِيَّةٍ فَضَاقَ كُمَّا الْجُبَّةِ فَأَخْرَجَ يَدَيْهِ مِنْ تَحْتِ الْجُبَّةِ فَغَسَلَهُمَا ثُمَّ مَسَحَ عَلَى خُفَّيْهِ ثُمَّ صَلَّى

✧ I was with the Messenger of God ﷺ on a journey. He said: 'Stay back, O Mughira, and proceed, O people.' Then he went and relieved himself, and I brought him a water vessel. When he finished, I poured water from it for him. He washed his face, then he tried to take his hands out of a Byzantine jubba he was wearing, but the sleeves of the jubba were too tight, so he took his hands out from under the jubba and washed them, then he wiped over his leather socks, then he prayed.
