حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْجُذُوعِيُّ الْقَاضِي ثنا هُدْبَةُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ ثنا وُهَيْبُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ ثنا سَعِيدٌ الْجُرَيْرِيُّ عَنْ حَيَّانَ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ ثنا مَاعِزٌ
أَنَّ رَجُلًا سَأَلَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ أَيُّ الْأَعْمَالِ أَفْضَلُ؟ قَالَ «إِيمَانٌ بِاللهِ وَجِهَادٌ فِي سَبِيلِهِ» ثُمَّ أَرْعَدَتْ فَخِذُ السَّائِلِ فَقَالَ ثُمَّ مَهْ؟ قَالَ «ثُمَّ عَمَلٌ أَفْضَلُ مِنْ سَائِرِ الْأَعْمَالِ إِلَّا كَمَثَلِ حَجَّةٍ بَارَّةٍ»

✧ A man asked the Prophet ﷺ: Which deeds are best? He said: “Faith in God and jihad in His path.” Then the questioner’s thigh trembled, and he said: Then what? He said: “Then a deed that is better than all other deeds, except like an accepted Hajj.”
