حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو حَبِيبٍ زَيْدُ بْنُ الْمُهْتَدِي الْمَرْوَزِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حَشْرَمٍ ثنا عِيسَى بْنُ يُونُسَ عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فِي حَجَّةِ الْوَدَاعِ يَقُولُ «لَا يَزَالُ أَمْرُ هَذِهِ الْأُمَّةِ هَادِئًا عَلَى مَنْ نَاوَأَها حَتَّى يَكُونَ عَلَيْكُمِ اثْنَا عَشَرَ أَمِيرًا» ثُمَّ تَكَلَّمَ بِكَلِمَةٍ لَمْ أَسْمَعْهَا فَسَأَلْتُ أَبِي وَكَانَ أَقْرَبَ إِلَيْهِ مِنِّي مَا قَالَ؟ قَالَ قَالَ «كُلُّهُم مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ»

✧ I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say during the Farewell Pilgrimage, "The affairs of this Ummah will continue to be stable for those who adhere to it, until there are twelve leaders among you." Then he said something I did not hear, so I asked my father, who was closer to him than me, what did he say? He said he said, "All of them will be from Quraish."
