حَدَّثَنَا الْقَاسِمُ بْنُ زَكَرِيَّا ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْحَلِيمِ النَّيْسَابُورِيُّ ثنا مُبَشِّرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ النَّيْسَابُورِيُّ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ السُّلَمِيُّ ثنا عُمَرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ رَزِينٍ كِلَاهُمَا عَنْ سُفْيَانَ بْنِ حُسَيْنٍ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ أَشْوَعَ عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ السُّوَائِيِّ قَالَ

جِئْتُ مَعَ أَبِي إِلَى الْمَسْجِدِ وَالنَّبِيُّ ﷺ يَخْطُبُ فَسَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ «يَكُونُ مِنْ بَعْدِي اثْنَا عَشَرَ خَلِيفَةً» ثُمَّ خَفَضَ صَوْتَهُ فَلَمْ أَدْرِ مَا يَقُولُ فَقُلْتُ لِأَبِي مَا يَقُولُ؟ قَالَ «كُلُّهُمْ مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ»

✧ I came with my father to the mosque and the Prophet ﷺ was delivering a sermon. I heard him say, "There will be twelve successors after me." Then he lowered his voice and I couldn't catch what he was saying. So, I asked my father, "What was he saying?" He replied, "All of them will be from the Quraysh tribe."
