حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ ثنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ قَزَعَةَ ثنا حُصَيْنُ بْنُ نُمَيْرٍ ثنا حُصَيْنُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ

انْتَهَيْتُ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ مَعَ أَبِي فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «لَا يَزَالُ هَذِهِ الْأُمَّةُ مُسْتَقِيمٌ أَمْرُهَا حَتَّى يَكُونَ اثْنَا عَشَرَ خَلِيفَةً» ثُمَّ قَالَ كَلِمَةً خَفِيَّةً فَقُلْتُ لِأَبِي مَا قَالَ؟ قَالَ «كُلُّهُمْ مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ»

✧ I went to the Prophet with my father, and the Messenger of Allah said, "This nation will remain upright in its affair until there are twelve caliphs." Then he said a whispered word, and I asked my father what he said. He said, "All of them will be from Quraish."
