حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَانُ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ الْقَطَّانِ ثنا زَيْدُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ حَدَّثَنِي أَفْلَحُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ حَدَّثَنِي بُرَيْدَةُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ الْأَسْلَمِيُّ
عَنْ مَسْعُودٍ غُلَامِ جَدِّهِ فَرْوَةَ أَبِي تَمِيمٍ قَالَ مَرَّ بِي رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَأَبُو بَكْرٍ فَقَالَ لِي أَبُو بَكْرٍ يَا مَسْعُودُ ائْتِ أَبَا تَمِيمٍ مَوْلَاكَ فَقُلْ لَهُ يَبْعَثْ مَعَنَا دَلِيلًا يَأْخُذُ بِنَا أَخْفَى الطَّرِيقِ وَبَعِيرًا وَزَادًا فَأَتَيْتُ مَوْلَاي فَقُلْتُ لَهُ فَبَعَثَنِي وَبَعَثَ مَعِي بِبَعِيرٍ وَوَطْبٍ مِنْ لَبَنٍ فَجِئْتُهُمَا «فَقَامَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ» يُصَلِّي وَأَبُو بَكْرٍ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ فَقُمْتُ خَلْفَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ وَأَبِي بَكْرٍ فَدَفَعَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فِي صَدْرِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ فَقُمْنَا خَلْفَهُ

✧ From Mas'ud, the servant of his grandfather Farwah Abu Tamim, he said: 'The Messenger of Allah ﷺ and Abu Bakr passed by me. Abu Bakr said to me: "O Mas'ud, go to Abu Tamim, your master, and tell him to send with us a guide who will take us by the most hidden route, and a camel and provisions." So I went to my master and told him, and he sent me along with a camel and a skin of milk. I came to them, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ stood to pray with Abu Bakr on his right. I stood behind them, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ pushed Abu Bakr in the chest, and we stood behind him.'
