حَدَّثَنَا يُوسُفُ الْقَاضِي ثنا أَبُو الرَّبِيعِ الزَّهْرَانِيُّ ثنا جَرِيرٌ عَنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ

كُنْتُ عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَسَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ «لَا يَزَالُ أَمْرُ هَذِهِ الْأُمَّةِ ظَاهِرًا حَتَّى يَقُومَ اثْنَا عَشَرَ» وَقَالَ كَلِمَةً خَفِيَتْ عَلَيَّ وَكَانَ أَبِي أَدْنَى إِلَيْهِ مَجْلِسًا مِنِّي فَقُلْتُ مَا قَالَ؟ قَالَ «كُلُّهُمْ مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ»

✧ I was with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and I heard him say, "The matter of this nation will remain apparent until there are twelve (caliphs)." And he said a word that I did not hear, and my father was closer to him in the gathering than me. So I asked, "What did he say?" He said, "All of them will be from Quraysh."
