حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْمُعَلَّى الدِّمَشْقِيُّ وَالْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ قَالَا ثنا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ ثنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ يَحْيَى الْخُشَنِيُّ ثنا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ أَبِي السَّائِبِ عَنْ أَبِي عَوْنٍ عَنْ أَبِي إِدْرِيسَ
عَنْ مَرْثَدٍ وَكَانَ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «خَطَّ اللهُ خَطَّيْنِ فِي كِتَابِهِ ثُمَّ رَفَعَ الْقَلَمَ وَكَتَبَ فِي أَحَدِهِمَا الْخَلْقَ وَكَتَبَ فِي الْآخَرِ مَا الْخَلْقُ عَامِلُونَ»

✧ From Marthad, who was one of the companions of the Prophet ﷺ, he said: “Allah drew two lines in His book, then lifted the pen and wrote in one of them the creation, and wrote in the other what the creation will do.”
