حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ الْحَكَمِ بْنِ أَبِي زِيَادٍ الْقَطَوَانِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الزُّهْرِيُّ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُوسَى التَّيْمِيُّ ثنا أُسَامَةُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ عَنْ مُعَاذِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ خُبَيْبٍ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ أُسَامَةَ الْجُهَنِيِّ قَالَ

ذَهَبْتُ السُّوقَ فَلَقِيتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فِي أَصْحَابِهِ فَسَأَلْتُهُمْ أَيْنَ يُرِيدُ؟ فَقَالُوا يَخُطُّ لِقَوْمِكَ مَسْجِدًا فَرَجَعْتُ فَوَجَدْتُ قَوْمِي قِيَامًا فَقُلْتُ مَا شَأْنُكُمْ؟ فَقَالُوا «خَطَّ لَنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَسْجِدًا بِرِجْلِهِ وغَرَزَ فِي الْقِبْلَةِ خَشَبَةً غَرَزَهَا فِيهِ»

✧ I went to the market and met the Prophet ﷺ among his Companions. I asked them where he was heading, and they said, “He is marking out a mosque for your people.” So I returned and found my people standing. I said, “What is the matter with you?” They said, “The Messenger of Allah ﷺ marked out a mosque for us with his foot and fixed a piece of wood in the qiblah, fixing it in it.”
