حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِرْقٍ الْحِمْصِيُّ ثنا عَمْرُو بْنُ عُثْمَانَ ثنا بَقِيَّةُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ ثنا عُمَرُ بْنُ جُعْثُمٍ حَدَّثَنِي سُلَيْمُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ عَنِ الْمِقْدَامِ
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «تَدْنُو الشَّمْسُ مِنَ النَّاسِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ حَتَّى تَكُونَ مِنَ النَّاسِ عَلَى قَدْرِ مِيلَيْنِ وَيَزْدَادَ فِي حَرِّهَا فَتَصْحَرَهُمْ فَيَكُونُوا فِي الْعَرَقِ بِقَدْرِ أَعْمَالِهِمْ فَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ يَأْخُذُهُ الْعَرَقُ إِلَى كَعْبَيْهِ وَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ يَأْخُذُهُ إِلَى رُكْبَتَيْهِ وَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ يَأْخُذُهُ إِلَى حِقْوَيْهِ وَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ يُلْجِمُهُ الْعَرَقُ إِلْجَامًا» قَالَ وَرَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يُشِيرُ بِيَدَيْهِ إِلَى فِيهِ قَالَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ عِرْقٍ هَكَذَا رَوَاهُ عُمَرُ بْنُ خَثْعَمٍ عَنْ سُلَيْمٍ عَنِ الْمِقْدَامِ
Translation

✧ That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “The sun will draw near to the people on the Day of Resurrection until it is about two miles away from them, and its heat will intensify and scorch them. They will be in sweat according to their deeds: among them is one whom sweat reaches his ankles, among them is one whom it reaches his knees, among them is one whom it reaches his waist, and among them is one whom the sweat bridles completely.” He said: And I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ gesturing with his hands toward his mouth. Ibrahim b. 'Irq said: This is how 'Umar b. Khath'am narrated it from Sulaym, from al-Miqdam.
