حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ صَالِحٍ ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ ثنا نَافِعُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو سُفْيَانُ بْنُ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَتِيكٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ

أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «مَنِ اقْتَطَعَ مَالَ امْرِئٍ مُسْلِمٍ بِيَمِينِهِ حَرَّمَ اللهُ عَلَيْهِ الْجَنَّةَ وَأَوْجَبَ لَهُ النَّارَ» قِيلَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ وَإِنْ شَيْءٌ يَسِيرٌ؟ قَالَ «وَإِنْ كَانَ سِوَاكًا»

Translation

  4. Abū Sufyān b. Jābir b. ʿAtīk from his father

✧ He heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: “Whoever seizes the wealth of a Muslim man by his oath, Allah has forbidden Paradise for him and made the Fire due for him.” It was said, “O Messenger of Allah, even if it is something little?” He said, “Even if it is a toothstick.”
