حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ بْنِ بَكَّارٍ الدِّمَشْقِيُّ ثنا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ عُتْبَةَ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ الْجَبَّارِ بْنُ عَاصِمٍ قَالَا ثنا بَقِيَّةُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ عَنْ صَفْوَانَ بْنِ عَمْرٍو عَنْ شُرَيْحِ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ عَنِ الْمِقْدَادِ بْنِ الْأَسْوَدِ قَالَ
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «مَنْ أَحَبَّ اللهَ وَرَسُولَهُ صَادِقًا غَيْرَ كَاذِبٍ وَلَقِيَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ فَأَحَبَّهُمْ وَكَانَ أَمَرُ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ عِنْدَهُ كَمَنْزِلَةِ نَارٍ أُلْقِيَ فِيهَا فَقَدْ طَعِمَ طَعْمَ الْإِيمَانِ» أَوْ قَالَ «فَقَدْ بَلَغَ ذِرْوَةَ الْإِيمَانِ» الشَّكُّ مِنْ صَفْوَانَ

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Whoever loves Allah and His Messenger sincerely, not falsely, and meets the believers and loves them, and regards the affairs of the pre-Islamic era as having the status of a fire into which he is thrown, then he has tasted the taste of faith.” Or he said: “Then he has attained the summit of faith.” The doubt is from Safwan.
