حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ زُهَيْرٍ التُّسْتَرِيُّ ثنا أَبُو شَيْبَةَ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ ثنا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ النَّحَّاسُ ثنا خَالِدُ بْنُ عَجْلَانَ عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ قُرَّةَ عَنْ مَعْقِلِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ قَالَ

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «لَيْسَ رَجُلٌ يَلِي قَوْمًا ثُمَّ لَا يَحُوطُهُمْ كَمَا يَحُوطُ نَفْسَهُ وَأَهْلَهُ إِلَّا أَدْخَلَهُ اللهُ نَارَ جَهَنَّمَ»

✧ I heard the Messenger of God ﷺ say: “There is no man who takes charge of a people and then does not protect them as he protects himself and his family except that God will admit him into the fire of Hell.”
