حَدَّثَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ ثنا حَفْصُ بْنُ عُمَرَ الْحَوْضِيُّ ثنا جَامِعُ بْنُ مَطَرٍ عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ قُرَّةَ أَنَّ مَعْقِلَ بْنَ يَسَارٍ قَالَ

حُرِّمَتِ الْخَمْرُ وَنَحْنُ نَشْرَبُ الْفَضِيخَ فَجَعَلْتُ أُهْرِيقُهَا وَأَقُولُ هَذَا آخِرُ الْعَهْدِ بِالْخَمْرِ

✧ Wine was forbidden while we were drinking fadikh, and I began pouring it out, saying, “This is the last time for wine.”
