حَدَّثَنَا الْمِقْدَامُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ ثنا أَسَدُ بْنُ مُوسَى ثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ عَنْ أُسَيْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْخَثْعَمِيِّ عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ مُعَاذٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ
غَزَوْتُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ غَزْوَةَ كَذَا وَكَذَا فَضَيَّقَ النَّاسُ الْمَنَازِلَ وَقَطَعُوا الطَّرِيقَ فَبَعَثَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مُنَادِيًا فَنَادَى فِي النَّاسِ «أنَّ مَنْ ضَيَّقَ مَنْزِلًا أَوْ قَطَعَ طَرِيقًا فَلَا جِهَادَ لَهُ»

✧ I went on a military expedition with the Messenger of God ﷺ, the expedition of such and such. The people cramped the campsites and cut off the road. So the Messenger of God ﷺ sent a caller who announced among the people: 'Whoever cramps a campsite or cuts off a road, there is no military expedition for him.'
