حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ غَنَّامٍ ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ثنا غُنْدَرٌ عَنْ شُعْبَةَ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ أَبِي حَكِيمٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ بُرَيْدَةَ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ يَعْمَرَ عَنْ أَبِي الْأَسْوَدِ الدُّؤَلِيِّ قَالَ
كَانَ مُعَاذٌ بِالْيَمَنِ فَارْتَفَعُوا إِلَيْهِ فِي يَهُودِيٍّ مَاتَ وَتَرَكَ أَخَاهُ مُسْلِمًا؟ فَقَالَ مُعَاذٌ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «الْإِسْلَامُ يَزِيدُ وَلَا يَنْقُصُ فَوَرَّثَهُ»

✧ Muʿādh was in Yemen, and they brought up to him the case of a Jew who died and left a Muslim brother. Muʿādh said, “I heard the Messenger of God ﷺ say, ‘Islam increases and does not decrease,’ so he made him inherit.”
