حَدَّثَنَا ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ بْنِ أَبَانَ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ غَنَّامٍ ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ وَاضِحٍ عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ عُبَيْدَةَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْقَرَّاطُ كُنْتُ فِي السَّبْيِ الَّذِي سُبِيَ زَمَنَ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ عَنْ مُعَاذِ بْنِ جَبَلٍ قَالَ
بَيْنَمَا نَحْنُ نَسِيرُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «أَيْنَ السَّابِقُونَ؟» قَالُوا مَضَى نَاسٌ وَتَخَلَّفَ نَاسٌ قَالَ «أَيْنَ السَّابِقُونَ الَّذِينَ يَسْتَهْتِرُونَ بِذِكْرِ اللهِ؟ مَنْ أَحَبَّ أَنْ يَرْتَعَ فِي رِيَاضِ الْجَنَّةِ فَلْيُكْثِرْ ذَكَرَ اللهِ» وَاللَّفْظُ لِحَدِيثِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ بْنِ أَبَانَ
Translation

✧ While we were traveling with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Where are the foremost?" They said, "Some people have gone ahead and some have stayed behind." He said, "Where are the foremost who are engrossed in the remembrance of Allah? Whoever loves to graze in the meadows of Paradise, let him remember Allah often." The wording is that of the hadith of 'Abd Allah b. 'Umar b. Aban.
