✧ 'Umar b. al-Khattab went out to the mosque of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and found Mu'adh b. Jabal weeping at the grave of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. He said, "What makes you weep, O Mu'adh?" He said, "Something I heard from the occupant of this grave makes me weep." He said, "And what is it?" He said, "I heard him say: 'A small amount of showing off is polytheism. Whoever shows enmity to the friends of Allah has declared war on Allah. Allah loves the hidden, pious ones who, when they are absent, are not missed, and when they are present, they are not invited or recognized. Their hearts are lamps of guidance, emerging from every dusty, dark place.'"
