حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثنا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ ثنا فِطْرُ بْنُ خَلِيفَةَ عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ أَبِي ثَابِتٍ وَالْحَكَمِ عَنْ مَيْمُونِ بْنِ أَبِي شَبِيبٍ عَنْ مُعَاذِ بْنِ جَبَلٍ قَالَ
خَرَجْتُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فِي غَزْوَةِ تَبُوكٍ فَرَأَيْتُ خَلْوَةً فَاغْتَنَمْتُهَا فَأَوْضَعْتُ بَعِيرِي نَحْوَهُ حَتَّى سَايَرْتُهُ فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ عَلِّمْنِي عَمَلًا يُدْخِلُنِي الْجَنَّةَ فَقَالَ لَقَدْ سَأَلْتَ عَظِيمًا وَإِنَّهُ لَيَسِيرٌ عَلَى مَنْ يَسَّرَهُ اللهُ عَلَيْهِ تَعْبُدُ اللهَ وَلَا تُشْرِكُ بِهِ شَيْئًا وَتُقِيمُ الصَّلَاةَ الْمَكْتُوبَةَ وَتُؤَدِّي الزَّكَاةَ الْمَفْرُوضَةَ وَتَصُومُ رَمَضَانَ ثُمَّ سَارَ وَسِرْتُ

✧ I went out with the Messenger of God ﷺ on the expedition of Tabuk. I saw a secluded spot and seized the opportunity, so I urged my camel toward him until I came alongside him. I said, "O Messenger of God, teach me a deed that will admit me to Paradise." He said, "You have asked about something great, yet it is easy for the one for whom God makes it easy: that you worship God and do not associate anything with Him, establish the prescribed prayer, give the obligatory zakat, and fast Ramadan." Then he rode on and I rode on.
