حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ ثنا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ثنا جَرِيرٌ عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ عَنْ أَبِي مُنِيبٍ الْجُرَشِيِّ قَالَ خَطَبَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ جَبَلٍ حِينَ وَقَعَ الطَّاعُونُ بِالشَّامِ فَقَالَ
«إِنَّ هَذَا الْأَمْرَ رَحْمَةُ رَبِّكُمْ وَدَعْوَةُ نَبِيِّكُمْ وَمَوْتُ الصَّالِحِينَ قَبْلَكُمْ اللهُمَّ أَعْطِ لِآلِ مُعَاذٍ حَظَّهُمْ مِنْ هَذَا الْأَمْرِ»
