حَدَّثَنَا حَفْصُ بْنُ عُمَرَ بْنِ الصَّبَّاحِ الرَّقِّيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سِنَانٍ الْعَوَقِيُّ ثنا جَهْضَمُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْيَمَامِيُّ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ التَّمَّارُ الْبَصْرِيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْخُزَاعِيُّ ثنا مُوسَى بْنُ خَلْفٍ الْعَمِّيُّ قَالَا ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ سَلَّامٍ عَنْ جَدِّهِ مَمْطُورٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ السَّكْسَكِيِّ عَنْ مَالِكِ بْنِ يُخَامِرَ عَنْ مُعَاذِ بْنِ جَبَلٍ قَالَ
احْتَبَسَ عَلَيْنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ صَلَاةَ الْغَدَاةِ حَتَّى كَادَتِ الشَّمْسُ تَطْلُعُ فَلَمَّا صَلَّى بِنَا الْغَدَاةَ قَالَ صَلَّيْتُ اللَّيْلَةَ مَا قُضِيَ لِي وَوَضَعْتُ جَنْبِي فِي الْمَسْجِدِ فَأَتَانِي رَبِّي فِي أَحْسَنِ صُورَةٍ فَقَالَ يَا مُحَمَّدُ أَتَدْرِي فِيمَ يَخْتَصِمُ الْمَلَأُ الْأَعْلَى؟ فَقُلْتُ لَا يَا رَبِّ قَالَهَا ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ قُلْتُ لَا يَا رَبِّ فَوَضَعَ يَدَهُ بَيْنَ كَتِفَيَّ فَوَجَدْتُ بَرْدَهَا بَيْنَ ثَدْيَيَّ فَتَجَلَّى لِي كُلُّ شَيْءٍ وَعَرَفْتُهُ فَقُلْتُ فِي الدَّرَجَاتِ وَالْكَفَّارَاتِ قَالَ فَمَا الدَّرَجَاتُ؟ قُلْتُ إِطْعَامُ الطَّعَامِ وَإِفْشَاءُ السَّلَامِ وَالصَّلَاةُ وَالنَّاسُ نِيَامٌ قَالَ صَدَقْتَ قَالَ فَمَا الْكَفَّارَاتُ؟ قُلْتُ إِسْبَاغُ الْوُضُوءِ فِي السَّبَراتِ وَانْتِظَارُ الصَّلَاةِ بَعْدَ الصَّلَاةِ وَنَقْلُ الْأَقْدَامِ إِلَى الْجُمُعَاتِ قَالَ صَدَقْتَ قَالَ سَلْ يَا مُحَمَّدُ قَالَ قُلْتُ اللهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ فِعْلَ الْخَيْرَاتِ وَتَرْكَ الْمُنْكَرَاتِ وَحُبَّ الْمَسَاكِينِ وَأَنْ تَغْفِرَ لِي وَتَرْحَمَنِي وَإِذَا أَرَدْتَ بَيْنَ عِبَادِكَ فِتْنَةً فَاقْبِضْنِي إِلَيْكَ وَأَنَا غَيْرُ مَفْتُونٍ اللهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ حُبَّكَ وَحُبَّ مَنْ أَحَبَّكَ وَحُبَّ عَمَلٍ يُقَرِّبُنِي إِلَى حُبِّكَ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «تُعَلِّمُوهُنَّ وَادْرُسُوهُنَّ فَإِنَّهُنَّ حَقٌّ»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ delayed the dawn prayer with us until the sun almost rose. When he had prayed the dawn prayer with us, he said: "Last night I prayed what was decreed for me, then I laid my side in the mosque. My Lord came to me in the most beautiful form and said: O Muhammad, do you know what the highest assembly disputes about? I said: No, my Lord. He said it three times. I said: No, my Lord. Then He placed His hand between my shoulders, and I felt its coolness between my breasts, and everything was revealed to me and I knew it. I said: About ranks and expiations. He said: What are the ranks? I said: Feeding food, spreading peace, and praying while people are asleep. He said: You have spoken the truth. He said: What are the expiations? I said: Performing ablution thoroughly in extreme cold, waiting for prayer after prayer, and walking to the Friday prayers. He said: You have spoken the truth. He said: Ask, O Muhammad. I said: O Allah, I ask You for the doing of good deeds, the abandonment of evil deeds, love of the poor, and that You forgive me and have mercy on me. And when You intend a trial among Your servants, take me to You without being tried. O Allah, I ask You for Your love and the love of those who love You and the love of deeds that bring me near to Your love." Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Learn these words and study them, for they are true."
