حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْقُرَشِيُّ الدِّمَشْقِيُّ ثنا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْوَهَّابِ بْنِ نَجْدَةَ الْحَوْطِيُّ ثنا أَبِي ح وَحَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْمُعَلَّى الدِّمَشْقِيُّ ثنا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ قَالُوا ثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ حَدَّثَنِي سَعِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْخُزَاعِيُّ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَائِذٍ أَنَّ رَجُلًا سَأَلَ مُعَاذَ بْنَ جَبَلٍ عَمَّا يُوجِبُ الْغُسْلَ مِنَ الْجِمَاعِ
وَعَنِ الصَّلَاةِ فِي الثَّوْبِ الْوَاحِدِ وَعَمَّا يَحِلُّ لِلْحَائِضِ مِنْ زَوْجِهَا؟ فَقَالَ مُعَاذٌ سَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ عَنْ ذَلِكَ فَقَالَ «إِذَا جَاوَزَ الْخِتَانُ الْخِتَانَ فَقَدْ وَجَبَ الْغُسْلُ وَأَمَّا الصَّلَاةُ فِي ثَوْبٍ وَاحِدٍ فَتَوَشَّحْ بِهِ وَأَمَّا مَا يَحِلُّ مِنَ الْحَائِضِ فَإِنَّهُ يَحِلُّ مَنْهَا مَا فَوْقَ الْإِزَارِ واسْتِعْفَافٌ عَنْ ذَلِكَ أَفْضَلُ»

✧ And concerning prayer in a single garment, and what is lawful for a man from his menstruating wife? Mu‘adh said: I asked the Messenger of God ﷺ about that, and he said: “When the two circumcised parts meet, the major ablution becomes obligatory. As for prayer in a single garment, wrap it around yourself. As for what is lawful from a menstruating woman, what is above the waist-wrapper is lawful, but abstaining from that is better.”
