حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ عِيسَى بْنِ الْمُنْذِرِ الْحِمْصِيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ الصُّورِيُّ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْمُعَلَّى الدِّمَشْقِيُّ ثنا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ قَالَا ثنا عَمْرُو بْنُ وَاقِدٍ عَنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ مَيْسَرَةَ بْنِ حَلْبَسٍ عَنْ أَبِي إِدْرِيسَ الْخَوْلَانِيِّ عَنْ مُعَاذِ بْنِ جَبَلٍ قَالَ
ذَكَرَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَوْمًا الْفِتَنَ فَعَظَّمَهَا وَشَدَّدَهَا فَقَالَ عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَبِي طَالِبٍ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ فَمَا الْمَخْرَجُ مِنهَا؟ فَقَالَ كِتَابُ اللهِ فِيهِ حَدِيثُ مَا قَبْلَكُمْ وَنَبَأُ مَا بَعْدَكُمْ وَفَصْلُ مَا بَيْنَكُمْ مَنْ تَرَكَهُ مِنْ جَبَّارٍ قَصَمَهُ اللهُ وَمَنْ تَتَبَّعَ الْهُدَى فِي غَيْرِهِ أَضَلَّهُ اللهُ هُوَ حَبْلُ اللهِ الْمَتِينُ وَالذَّكْرُ الْحَكِيمُ وَالصِّرَاطُ الْمُسْتَقِيمُ هُوَ الَّذِي لَمَّا سَمِعَتْهُ الْجِنُّ قَالَتْ {إِنَّا سَمِعْنَا قُرْآنًا عَجَبًا} هُوَ الَّذِي لَا تَخْتَلِفُ بِهِ الْأَلْسُنُ وَلَا تُخْلِقُهُ كَثْرَةُ الرَّدِّ

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ one day mentioned the trials, magnifying them and emphasizing their severity. Ali b. Abi Talib said: "O Messenger of God, what is the way out of them?" He said: "The Book of God. In it is the account of those before you, the news of those after you, and the judgment of what is between you. Whoever abandons it out of arrogance, God will crush him. Whoever seeks guidance in other than it, God will lead him astray. It is the firm rope of God, the wise reminder, and the straight path. It is the one about which, when the jinn heard it, they said: {Indeed, we have heard a wondrous Quran.} It is the one with which tongues do not differ, and much repetition does not wear it out."
