حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْمُعَلَّى الدِّمَشْقِيُّ ثنا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا وَرَدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ لَبِيدٍ الْبَيْرُوتِيُّ ثنا صَفْوَانُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ قَالَا ثنا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ ثنا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي الْعَاتِكَةِ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ يَزِيدَ عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ عَنْ مُعَاذِ بْنِ جَبَلٍ
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «رَأْسُ هَذَا الْأَمْرِ الْإِسْلَامُ وَمَنْ أَسْلَمَ سَلِمَ وَعَمُودُهُ الصَّلَاةُ وَذُرْوَةُ سَنَامِهِ الْجِهَادُ لَا يَنَالُهُ إِلَّا أَفْضَلُهُمْ»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “The head of this matter is Islam; whoever submits is safe. Its pillar is prayer, and the peak of its hump is jihad; none attains it except the best of them.”
