حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ وَالْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ الْأَسْفَاطِيُّ قَالَا ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يُونُسَ ثنا فُضَيْلُ بْنُ عِيَاضٍ عَنْ لَيْثٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ سَابِطٍ عَنْ أَبِي ثَعْلَبَةَ الْخُشَنِيِّ عَنْ مُعَاذٍ وَأَبِي عُبَيْدَةَ قَالَا
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «إِنَّ هَذَا الْأَمْرَ بَدَأَ رَحْمَةً وَنُبُوَّةً ثُمَّ تَكُونُ رَحْمَةً وَخِلَافَةً ثُمَّ كَائِنًا مُلْكًا عَضُوضًا ثُمَّ كَائِنًا عُتُوًّا وَجَبْرِيَّةً وَفَسَادًا فِي الْأَرْضِ يَسْتَحِلُّونَ الْحَرِيرَ وَالْفُرُوجَ وَالْخَمْرَ وَيُرْزَقُونَ عَلَى ذَلِكَ حَتَّى يَلْقَوْنَ اللهَ»

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Indeed, this matter began as mercy and prophethood, then it will become mercy and caliphate, then it will become rule that is biting, then it will become oppressive rule, then it will become corruption on the earth. They will approve of silk, adultery, and alcohol, and they will be provided for in these matters until they meet Allah."
