حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ وَمُعَاذُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى وَأَبُو مُسْلِمٍ الْكَشِّيُّ قَالُوا
ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مَسْلَمَةَ الْقَعْنَبِيُّ ثنا سَلَمَةُ بْنُ وَرْدَانَ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَهُ يَقُولُ أَتَانِي مُعَاذُ بْنُ جَبَلٍ فَقُلْتُ مِنْ أَيْنَ جِئْتَ يَا مُعَاذُ؟ قَالَ جِئْتُ مِنْ عِنْدِ نَبِيِّ اللهِ ﷺ فَقُلْتُ مَا قَالَ لَكَ؟ قَالَ «مَنْ شَهِدَ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ مُخْلِصًا دَخَلَ الْجَنَّةَ» فَقُلْتُ فَأَذْهَبُ فَأُسْأَلُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ؟ قَالَ اذْهَبْ فَأَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقُلْتُ يَا نَبِيَّ اللهِ حَدَّثَنِي مُعَاذُ بْنُ جَبَلٍ أَنَّكَ قُلْتَ «مَنْ شَهِدَ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ مُخْلِصًا دَخَلَ الْجَنَّةَ» قَالَ «صَدَقَ مُعَاذٌ صَدَقَ مُعَاذٌ صَدَقَ مُعَاذٌ»

✧ Abdullah b. Maslamah al-Qaʿnabi narrated to us; Salamah b. Wardan narrated to us, on the authority of Anas b. Malik, that he heard him say: Muadh b. Jabal came to me and I said: “Where have you come from, O Muadh?” He said: “I have come from the Prophet of God ﷺ.” I said: “What did he say to you?” He said: “Whoever bears witness that there is no god but God sincerely will enter Paradise.” I said: “Should I go and ask the Prophet ﷺ?” He said: “Go.” So I came to the Prophet ﷺ and said: “O Prophet of God, Muadh b. Jabal told me that you said: ‘Whoever bears witness that there is no god but God sincerely will enter Paradise.’” He said: “Muadh spoke the truth, Muadh spoke the truth, Muadh spoke the truth.”
