حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ السَّقَطِيُّ ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَلِيفَةَ ثنا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ قَالَا ثنا عَبْدُ الْحَمِيدِ بْنُ بَهْرَامَ عَنْ شَهْرِ بْنِ حَوْشَبٍ حَدَّثَنِي جُنْدُبُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ قَالَ
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «سَيَكُونُ بَعْدِي فِتَنٌ كَقِطَعِ اللَّيْلِ الْمُظْلِمِ يُصْبِحُ الرَّجُلُ فِيهَا مُؤْمِنًا وَيُمْسِي كَافِرًا وَيُمْسِي كَافِرًا وَيُصْبِحُ مُؤْمِنًا» فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينِ فَكَيْفَ نَصْنَعُ عِنْدَ ذَلِكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ؟ قَالَ «ادْخُلُوا بُيُوتَكُمْ وَاحْمِلُوا ذِكْرِكُمْ» فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ أَرَأَيْتَ إِنْ دُخِلَ عَلَى أَحَدِنَا بَيْتَهُ؟ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «لِيُمْسِكْ بِيَدِهِ وَلْيَكُنْ عَبْدَ اللهِ الْمَقْتُولَ وَلَا يَكُنْ عَبْدَ اللهِ الْقَاتِلَ فَإِنَّ الرَّجُلَ يَكُونُ فِي فِئَةِ الْإِسْلَامِ فَيَأْكُلُ مَالَ أَخِيهِ وَيَسْفِكُ دَمَهُ ويَعْصِي رَبَّهُ وَيَكْفُرُ بِخَالِقِهِ وتَجِبُ لَهُ النَّارُ»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “After me there will be trials like patches of dark night. A man will wake up a believer and become a disbeliever by evening, and a disbeliever by evening and wake up a believer.” A man among the Muslims said: “What should we do then, O Messenger of Allah?” He said: “Enter your houses and keep your remembrance.” A man said: “What if someone enters the house of one of us?” The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Let him hold back his hand and be the servant of Allah who is killed, not the servant of Allah who kills. For a man may be in the group of Islam yet devour his brother’s wealth, shed his blood, disobey his Lord, and disbelieve in his Creator, and the Fire becomes due for him.”
