حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الزِّنْبَاعِ رَوْحُ بْنُ الْفَرَجِ الْمِصْرِيُّ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ قَالَ
«تُوُفِّيَ الْمِسْوَرُ بْنُ مَخْرَمَةَ يَوْمَ جَاءَ نَعْيُ يَزِيدَ بْنِ مُعَاوِيَةَ إِلَى ابْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ سَنَةَ أَرْبَعٍ وَسِتِّينَ وَصَلَّى عَلَيْهِ ابْنُ الزُّبَيْرِ بِالْحَجُونِ أَصَابَهُ حَجَرُ الْمَنْجَنِيقِ وَهُوَ يُصَلِّي فِي الْحِجْرِ فَأَقَامَ خَمْسَةَ أَيَّامٍ فَتُوُفِّيَ فِي شَهْرِ رَبِيعٍ الْأَوَّلِ سَنَةَ أَرْبَعٍ وَسِتِّينَ وُلِدَ بَعْدَ الْهِجْرَةِ بِسَنَتَيْنِ وَقَدِمَ بِهِ الْمَدِينَةَ فِي عَقِبِ ذِي الْحِجَّةِ سَنَةَ ثَمَانٍ وَشَهِدَ عَامَ الْفَتْحِ وَهُوَ ابْنُ سِتِّ سِنِينَ وَتُوُفِّيَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ وَهُوَ ابْنُ ثَمَانِ سِنِينَ» يَعْنِي الْمِسْوَرَ بْنَ مَخْرَمَةَ

✧ “Al-Miswar b. Makhramah died on the day the news of Yazid b. Mu‘awiyah’s death came to Ibn al-Zubayr, in the year 64. Ibn al-Zubayr prayed over him at al-Hajun. He was struck by a stone from a catapult while he was praying in the Hijr, and he lingered for five days, then died in the month of Rabi‘ al-Awwal in the year 64. He was born two years after the Hijrah, and was brought to Madinah in the latter part of Dhu al-Hijjah in the year 8, and he witnessed the year of the conquest when he was six years old. The Prophet ﷺ died when he was eight years old.” Meaning al-Miswar b. Makhramah.
