حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثنا عَارِمٌ أَبُو النُّعْمَانِ ثنا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ عَنْ أَبِي الْجُوَيْرِيَةِ عَنْ مَعْنِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ قَالَ
«بَايَعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ أَنَا وَجَدِّي وَخَاصَمْتُ إِلَيْهِ فَأَفْلَجَنِي وَخَطَبَ عَلِيَّ فَأَنْكَحَنِي» فَقَالَ مَعْنٌ «لَا تَحِلُّ غَنِيمَةٌ حَتَّى تُقْسَمَ وَلَا تُقْبَلُ مِنْهَا حَتَّى تُقْسَمَ لِلنَّاسِ»

✧ “I gave allegiance to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, I and my grandfather. I brought a dispute to him and he ruled in my favor, and he proposed marriage on my behalf and gave me in marriage.” Then Ma'n said: “Booty is not lawful until it is distributed, and none of it is accepted until it is distributed to the people.”
