حَدَّثَنَا حَفْصُ بْنُ عُمَرَ بْنِ الصَّبَّاحِ الرَّقِّيُّ ثنا وَضَّاحُ بْنُ يَحْيَى النَّهْشَلِيُّ ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ عَنْ كُلَيْبِ بْنِ وَائِلٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ مَعْنِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ قَالَ
جَاءَ أَعْرَابِيٌّ فَأَخَذَ بِخِطَامِ نَاقَةِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَ يَا نَبِيَّ اللهِ دُلَّنِي عَلَى عَمَلٍ يُقَرِّبُنِي مِنَ الْجَنَّةِ وَيُبَاعِدُنِي مِنَ النَّارِ قَالَ «لَقَدْ أَوْجَزْتَ فِي الْمَسْأَلَةِ وَلَقَدْ أَعْرَضْتَ تَعْبُدُ اللهَ وَلَا تُشْرِكُ بِهِ شَيْئًا وَتُصَلِّي الْخَمْسَ وَتَصُومُ رَمَضَانَ وَمَا كَرِهْتَ أَنْ يَأْتِيَهُ النَّاسُ إِلَيْكَ فَاكْرَهَهُ لَهُمْ»

✧ A Bedouin came and took hold of the halter of the Prophet's ﷺ she-camel and said: “O Prophet of Allah, guide me to a deed that will bring me near to Paradise and distance me from the Fire.” He said: “You have been brief in your question, but you have asked broadly. Worship Allah and do not associate anything with Him, perform the five prayers, fast Ramadan, and whatever you would dislike people to do to you, dislike it for them.”
