حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَلِيفَةَ ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْمَدِينِيِّ ثنا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ سَعْدٍ ثنا أَبِي عَنِ ابْنِ إِسْحَاقَ حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ حَزْمٍ عَنْ مُسْلِمِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ بْنِ بُجْرَةَ أَخِي الْحَارِثِ بْنِ الْخَزْرَجِ وَكَانَ شَيْخًا كَبِيرًا قَدْ حَدَّثَ نَفْسَهُ قَالَ
إِنْ كَانَ لِيَدْخُلَ الْمَدِينَةَ فَيَقْضِيَ حَاجَتَهُ بِالسُّوقِ ثُمَّ يَرْجِعَ إِلَى أَهْلِهِ فَإِذَا وَضَعَ رِدَاءَهُ ذَكَرَ أَنَّهُ لَمْ يُصَلِّ فِي مَسْجِدِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَيَقُولُ وَاللهِ مَا صَلَّيْتُ فِي مَسْجِدِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَإِنَّهُ قَدْ قَالَ لَنَا «مَنْ هَبَطَ مِنْكُمْ إِلَى هَذِهِ الْقَرْيَةِ فَلَا يَرْجِعَنَّ إِلَى أَهْلِهِ حَتَّى يَرْكَعَ رَكْعَتَيْنِ فِي هَذَا الْمَسْجِدِ ثُمَّ يَرْجِعَ إِلَى أَهْلِهِ»

✧ He used to enter Madinah and take care of his business in the market, then return to his family. When he put down his cloak, he remembered that he had not prayed in the mosque of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. He said, "By Allah, I have not prayed in the mosque of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, for he told us: 'Whoever of you goes down to this town should not return to his family until he prays two rak'ahs in this mosque, then returns to his family.'"
