حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عِقَالٍ الْحَرَّانِيُّ ثنا أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ النُّفَيْلِيُّ ثنا عَبَّادُ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ الرَّمْلِيُّ عَنْ شَمْسِيَّةَ بِنْتِ نَبْهَانَ عَنْ مَوْلَاهَا مُسْلِمُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ قَالَ
رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يُبَايِعُ النِّسَاءَ عَامَ الْفَتْحِ عَلَى الصَّفَا فَقَالَتِ امْرَأَةٌ كَأَنَّ يَدَهَا يَدُ الرِّجَالِ فَأَبَى أَنْ يُبَايِعَهَا حَتَّى ذَهَبَتْ فَغَيَّرَتْ يَدَهَا بِصُفْرَةٍ وَأَتَاهُ رَجُلٌ فِي يَدِهِ خَاتَمٌ مِنْ حَدِيدٍ فَقَالَ «مَا طَهَّرَ اللهُ كَفًّا فِيهَا خَاتَمٌ مِنْ حَدِيدٍ»

✧ I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ accepting the pledge of women in the year of the conquest on al-Safa. A woman whose hand seemed like a man's hand came forward, and he refused to accept her pledge until she went and changed her hand with yellow dye. And a man came to him with a ring of iron on his hand, and he said, "Allah has not purified a hand that has a ring of iron on it."
