✧ Abu Abdullah al-Jadali, his name is Ma'bad bin Ma'bad, and it is said: Abd bin Abd, and it is said: Abdur Rahman bin Abd, narrated from Muawiyah.

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ سَلْمٍ الرَّازِيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ ثنا حَكَّامُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ مَعْبَدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَبْدٍ عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «مَنْ شَرِبَ الْخَمْرَ فَاجْلِدُوهُ فَإِنْ عَادَ فَاجْلِدُوهُ فَإِنْ عَادَ فَاجْلِدُوهُ فَإِنْ عَادَ فَاجْلِدُوهُ فَإِنْ رَبَّعَ فَاقْتُلُوهُ»

✧ From the Prophet ﷺ, he said: “Whoever drinks wine, lash him; if he returns, lash him; if he returns, lash him; if he returns, lash him; if he does it a fourth time, kill him.”
