حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ ثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ حَفْصٍ الْأُبُلِّيُّ ثنا مُعْتَمِرُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ مُغِيرَةَ عَنْ مَعْبَدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَبْدٍ الْجَدَلِيِّ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ مُعَاوِيَةَ يَقُولُ

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «مَنْ شَرِبَ الْخَمْرَ فَاجْلِدُوهُ فَإِنْ عَادَ فَاجْلِدُوهُ فَإِنْ عَادَ فَاجْلِدُوهُ فَإِنْ عَادَ الرَّابِعَةَ فَاضْرِبُوا عُنُقَهُ»

✧ I heard the Messenger of God ﷺ say: “Whoever drinks wine, lash him; if he returns, lash him; if he returns, lash him; if he returns a fourth time, strike his neck.”
