حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الزِّنْبَاعِ رَوْحُ بْنُ الْفَرَجِ الْمِصْرِيُّ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْأَسْوَدِ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ

أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ مُعَاوِيَةَ عَلَى مِنْبَرِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ وَمَعَهُ قُصَّةُ شَعْرٍ فَقَالَ إِنِّي وَجَدْتُ هَذِهِ فِي أَهْلِي وَإِنَّهُمْ زَعَمُوا أَنَّ النِّسَاءَ يَزِدْنَهُ فِي شُعُورِهِنَّ وَإِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «لَعَنَ اللهُ الْوَاصِلَةَ وَالْمَوْصُولَةَ»

✧ He heard Mu'awiyah on the pulpit of the Prophet ﷺ with a lock of hair in his hand, saying, "I found this among my family, and they claimed that women add it to their hair. I heard the Messenger of God ﷺ say: 'God has cursed the one who attaches hair extensions and the one who has them attached.'"
