حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ ثنا يَحْيَى الْحِمَّانِيُّ ثنا ابْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ عَنْ يَعْقُوبَ بْنِ الْقَعْقَاعِ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ أَنَّ مُعَاوِيَةَ قَالَ

يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ نَهَاكُمْ عَنِ الزُّورِ فَجَاءَ بِخِرْقَةٍ سَوْدَاءَ فَأَلْقَاهَا بَيْنَ أَيْدِيهِمْ ثُمَّ قَالَ «هُوَ هَذَا تَجْعَلُهُ الْمَرْأَةُ فِي رَأْسِهَا ثُمَّ تَخْتَمِرُ عَلَيْهِ»

✧ “O people, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ has forbidden you false hair.” He then brought a black rag and threw it before them, then said, “It is this: a woman puts it on her head and then covers herself with a veil over it.”
