حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدَّبَرِيُّ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنِ ابْنِ عُيَيْنَةَ عَنْ مُجَمِّعٍ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا أُمَامَةَ بْنَ سَهْلِ بْنِ حُنَيْفٍ حِينَ

سَمِعَ الْمُؤَذِّنَ كَبَّرَ كَبَّرَ وَتَشَهَّدَ بِمَا تَشَهَّدَ بِهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ هَكَذَا حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ كَمَا قَالَ الْمُؤَذِّنُ فَإِذَا قَالَ «أَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا رَسُولُ اللهِ» قَالَ «وَأَنَا أَشْهَدُ» ثُمَّ سَكَتَ

✧ He heard the muʾadhdhin say the takbīr, and he said the takbīr; and he bore witness as he bore witness. Then he said, “This is how Muʿāwiyah narrated to us that he heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say as the muʾadhdhin said. When he said, ‘I bear witness that Muḥammad is the Messenger of Allah,’ he said, ‘And I bear witness,’ then he was silent.”
