حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْأَبَّارُ ثنا أَيُّوبُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْوَزَّانُ ثنا ضَمْرَةُ عَنْ رَجَاءَ بْنِ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ

عَنْ حَسَّانٍ مَوْلَى مَالِكِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْخَثْعَمِيِّ وَكَانَ مَالِكٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «رَأَيْتُ مَالِكَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ» يَتَوَضَّأُ وَكَانَ فِي سَاقِهِ عِرْقٌ مَكْتُوبٌ لِلَّهِ فَجَعَلْتُ أَنْظُرُ إِلَيْهِ فَقَالَ «أَيَّ شَيْءٍ تَنْظُرُ أَمَا إِنَّهُ لَمْ يَكْتُبْهُ كَاتَبٌ»

✧ From Hassan, the freed slave of Malik b. Abdullah al-Khath'ami, and Malik was one of the Companions of the Messenger of God ﷺ. He said: "I saw Malik b. Abdullah performing ablution, and on his shin there was a vein inscribed 'For God.' I began to look at it, and he said, 'What are you looking at? Indeed, no writer wrote it.'"
