حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيِّ ثنا يَحْيَى الْحِمَّانِيُّ ثنا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ بِلَالٍ عَنِ الْعَلَاءِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ مَوْلَى مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ جَحْشٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ جَحْشٍ قَالَ

كُنْتُ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فِي السُّوقِ فَمَرَّ عَلَى مَعْمَرٍ عَلَى بَابِهِ مَكْشُوفَةٌ فَخِذُهُ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «غَطِّ فَخِذَكَ يَا مَعْمَرُ فَإِنَّهَا مِنَ الْعَوْرَةِ»

✧ I was with the Prophet ﷺ in the market, and he passed by Ma'mar at his door with his thigh uncovered. The Prophet ﷺ said, "Cover your thigh, O Ma'mar, for it is part of the 'awrah."
