حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدَّبَرِيُّ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنِ الثَّوْرِيِّ عَنْ جَابِرٍ عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ

أَنَّ زَيْنَبَ بِنْتَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ أَسْلَمَتْ وَزَوْجُهَا مُشْرِكٌ أَبُو الْعَاصِ بْنُ الرَّبِيعِ ثُمَّ أَسْلَمَ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ بِحِينٍ فَلَمْ يُجَدِّدْ نِكَاحًا قَالَ عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ «وَذَكَرَ مَعْمَرٌ عَنْ جَابِرٍ عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ»

✧ Zaynab, the daughter of the Messenger of God ﷺ, became Muslim while her husband Abu al-‘As b. al-Rabi‘ was a polytheist. Then he became Muslim after some time, and no marriage was renewed. ‘Abd al-Razzaq said: "Ma‘mar mentioned from Jabir from al-Sha‘bi."
