حَدَّثَنَا بَكْرُ بْنُ مُقْبِلٍ الْبَصْرِيُّ ثنا الْقَاسِمُ بْنُ وَهْبٍ الْكُوفِيُّ ثنا قُطْبَةُ بْنُ الْعَلَاءِ الْغَنَوِيُّ ثنا أَبِي الْعَلَاءِ بْنُ الْمِنْهَالِ عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ كُلَيْبٍ الْجَرْمِيُّ عَنْ أبِيهِ

أَنَّهُ خَرَجَ مَعَ أَبِيهِ إِلَى جَنَازَةٍ شَهِدَهَا النَّبِيُّ ﷺ وَأَنَا غُلَامٌ أَعْقِلُ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «يُحِبُّ اللهُ لِلْعَامِلِ إِذَا عَمِلَ أَنْ يُحْسِنَ»

Translation

Chain of narrators
  1. Bakr b. Muqbil al-Baṣrī

✧ He went out with his father to a funeral which the Prophet ﷺ attended, while I was a boy old enough to understand. The Prophet ﷺ said: "God loves that when a worker performs a deed, he does it well."
