حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ سَعِيدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى الرَّقِّيُّ ثنا أَبُو فَرْوَةَ يَزِيدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ الرَّهَاوِيُّ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي عَنْ أبِيهِ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَبِي أُنَيْسَةَ عَنْ عَدِيِّ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مَعْقِلٍ عَنْ كَعْبِ بْنِ عُجْرَة قَالَ

جَاءَ رَجُلٌ أَعْمَى إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ إِنِّي أَسْمَعُ النِّدَاءَ فَلَعَلِّي لَا أَجِدُ قَائِدًا وَيَشُقُّ عَلَيَّ أَفَأَتَّخِذُ مَسْجِدًا فِي دَارِي؟ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «أَيَبْلُغُكَ النِّدَاءُ؟» قَالَ نَعَمْ قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «فَإِذَا سَمِعْتَ النِّدَاءَ فَاخْرُجْ»

✧ A blind man came to the Messenger of God ﷺ and said, “I hear the call, but perhaps I cannot find a guide and it is difficult for me. Should I set up a mosque in my house?” The Prophet ﷺ said: “Does the call reach you?” He said, “Yes.” The Prophet ﷺ said: “When you hear the call, then go out.”
