حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْقُرَشِيُّ الدِّمَشْقِيُّ ثنا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ شُعَيْبِ بْنِ شَابُورٍ أَخْبَرَنِي عِيسَى بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ كَعْبٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ

«أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ عَادَ الْبَرَاءَ بْنَ مَعْرُورٍ وَقَدْ أَخَذَتْهُ ذَبْحَةٌ فَأَمَرَ مَنْ يَبُطُّهُ بِالنَّارِ حَتَّى يُوَجِّهَهُ»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ visited al-Bara’ b. Ma‘rur, who had a throat infection, and ordered that he be cauterized with fire until it was treated.
